A few weeks ago, I bought an Alaskan Crab from Cold Storage. It was frozen but it looked great. Don’t you think?
Anyway, thawed it to room temperature thinking it’ll be nice that way (like the dungeness crab I ate in San Francisco a number of years ago). Nope. No good. Taste was ok (not spectacular) but the texture was crumbly.
Wouldn’t advise it. Get it fresh if you can. Go to Alaska.

Hmmmm… you’re probably right. No good for eating on it’s own but cooked up nice should be good.

I have tried the Alaskan crabs in Singapore, Imperial Treasure. They tasted really good when cooked with salted egg yolk
I think it depends on you cook the crab tho

Hey, thanks for that top tip Della
I also think this needs to be fresh and not frozen
